Stitching Instructions for Making the Linen Stitch Border Pattern:

  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • sl st – slip stitch
  • st(s) – stitch(es)

Round 1:

the Linen Stitch Border Pattern Round 1
  • Join yarn in any corner space.
  • Ch 1, (sc, ch 1, sc) in same corner st. Ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 space; repeat from * around.
  • In each corner, work (sc, ch 1, sc) in the same st.
  • At the end, ch 1, skip last sc, sl st to top of 1st sc to join.
  • Fasten off if changing color, or sl st into the next ch-1 space to continue.

Round 2:
