Seamless Earflap Hat Free Pattern

Pattern Description:

The Seamless Earflap Hat is a crochet pattern by Lindsey Carr designed to be worked in continuous rounds. 

It includes instructions for multiple sizes and features earflaps, with the right earflap being one round shorter to compensate for the natural slant when working in the round. The pattern concludes with an edging and instructions for creating braided ties.

Materials Needed & Measurements:

Instructions for Making the Seamless Earflap Hat Pattern:

Hat Construction (for all sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child, Teen/Adult):

Finishing Touches (for all sizes):

• Edging: Sc evenly around the bottom of the hat and earflaps.
• Fasten off and weave in ends.
• Braids:
  • Cut 9 four-foot lengths of yarn for each braid.
  • Use a hook to pull the yarn lengths through the bottom stitches of each earflap.
  • Split the yarn into 3 equal groups of 6 strands each.
  • Braid to the desired length.
  • Tie an overhand knot to secure.
  • Trim the ends to approximately 2 inches.
